A home button with integrated Touch ID may become a thing of the past, speculates Apple supplier TSMC. Possible future iPhone innovations could include screens that double as a fingerprint sensors or enhanced image sensors within the camera. Apple has also considered moving Touch ID to the back of iPhone, which is a design choice criticized being copied from other rival Android flagships.
