Scammers September 16 2016

We've had a number of customers who tell us they were contacted by companies claiming that there was malware on their computers, and that they would need to pay a large sum of money to have it removed. This is a scam. Do not give anyone any personal information over the phone, especially your credit card information.

There is no way for them to know what is on your computer, and paying them is just going to be throwing your money away. Macs are resilient against malware, so 9 times out of 10, your computer is clean.

But, if you do suspect you have something malicious on your computer, bring it to us. We charge a very small fee and we're a company you can trust.

Likewise, never call any company with the intention of paying over the phone to have your computer fixed. Many times, these fraudulent companies will bombard you with popups or web browser windows claiming you have malware and that you need to contact them to have it removed. All you have is a popup saying something that isn't true.

If ever you have any doubts, questions, or concerns, please contact us first.
