Apple Watch Watching Heartbeat November 30 2017
Apple announced today that they will be doing a heart study with the apple watch to collect data on irregular heart rhythms and notify users who may be experiencing atrial fibrillation. As part of the study if an irregular heartbeat is found you will be alerted on your Apple watch. You will also receive a free consultation study. To calculate heart rate and rhythm, the Apple Watch's sensor uses green LED lights flashing hundreds of times per second and light-sensitive photodiodes to detect the amount of blood flowing through the wrist.
So we the people over at Got Mac think this is awesome that Apple is concerned for the health of others. So if you have a Apple Watch then you might want to consider signing up for the study.
